For this album, Järvi has again picked up the highlights of Tchaikovsky's famous ballet music "Sleeping Beauty" and arranged into a kind of symphony. This version he recorded with his orchestra Baltic Sea Philharmonic. Tchaikovsky's score for Sleeping Beauty takes almost three hours. Järvi has condensed the ballet into an approximately 70-minute setting. Iconic scenes, fairy tale characters, and beloved dances are distilled in a captivating new version of this magical Russian masterpiece.
